Keele University and the Global Community

The university’s alumni network spans over 100,000 people across 162 countries — from a UNICEF deputy representative to a BBC business correspondent — including more than 130 CEOs, 72 managing directors, and 60 vice-presidents. Keele pioneered student support in the 1960s as Britain’s first to launch counseling services, establishing what has become standard practice. Today, it collaborates with the NHS to develop new approaches to student mental health for implementation across the country.

In 2021, Keele earned the Global Sustainability Institution of the Year title at the Green Gown Awards. The campus runs on 12,500 solar panels and two wind turbines covering half its energy needs, targeting carbon neutrality by 2030. The business school joined PRME Champions 2024-2025 — a global alliance advancing sustainable business education — and holds Small Business Charter accreditation alongside gold CABS membership, channeling £200 million annually into the regional economy.
