Bedales School is structured into three sections: Bedales Nursery & Pre-prep for the youngest children (ages 3-8), Bedales Prep, Dunhurst (ages 8-13), and Bedales Senior School (ages 13-18). The 13+ Stage at Bedales School

Bedales School’s curriculum is crafted to nurture independent thinking and intellectual rigor. In Block 3 (Year 9), students embark on a project-based year that starts with an immersive week of outdoor activities and team-building in the picturesque Lake District.

As students progress to Blocks 4 and 5 (Years 10 and 11), they encounter the unique Bedales Assessed Courses (BACs). These courses, respected by universities, complement the core I/GCSE subjects and offer diverse electives such as digital game design, sports science, and global awareness. The BACs are designed to lay a strong foundation for Sixth Form studies, university education, and future careers.

Sixth Form Experience at Bedales School

The Sixth Form at Bedales School offers a rich and dynamic environment to prepare students for life after school. The curriculum supports a personalized approach to subject selection, with advisors available to help students choose courses that align with their aspirations.

Among the new subjects offered are A Levels in Digital Photography and Music Technology, as well as Global Perspectives and Research Pre-U. Beyond academics, students engage in sports, cultural activities, current events, and community service, benefiting from a comprehensive enrichment program. Additionally, students are encouraged to take on leadership roles within the school, participate in student committees, and mentor younger students.
