Lucton School prides itself on its strong academic programs, particularly the A Level qualifications, which are highly esteemed by universities in the UK and worldwide. With small class sizes, typically 12-15 students in the lower years and even fewer in the Sixth Form, a highly personalized approach to education is offered. This supportive environment has helped many students achieve remarkable improvements in their grades over time.

Whether it’s Government and Politics, Graphic Design, Mathematics, or Music, the diverse subject offerings encourage curiosity and independence, equipping students with the skills needed to excel in their chosen fields.
A Global Community
Lucton School is a vibrant tapestry of cultures, welcoming a diverse group of international students. Approximately half of the students come from the UK, which provides non-native speakers with an immersive English-speaking environment. The community is enriched by students from Hong Kong, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and China, fostering a global perspective and encouraging international friendships.
Boarding students, ranging in age from 7 to 18, reside in two comfortable boarding houses where they receive excellent pastoral care. The weekend activity program includes cultural excursions, adventure activities, and leisure opportunities, offering a well-rounded experience beyond the classroom.
Enrichment and Support
Beyond the academic curriculum, Lucton School offers a wide array of extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs, and the popular Combined Cadet Force for students aged 13 and older. These activities are seamlessly integrated into the school day, allowing students to discover new interests and develop additional skills.
For students who are not native English speakers, a comprehensive English as an Additional Language (EAL) program is available. This includes tailored support ranging from basic lessons in the lower years to intensive IELTS preparation in the Sixth Form. The aim is to ensure that all students, regardless of their language background, can fully engage with and benefit from the school community and curriculum.
