Life at Uptown International School

Motivation for Talented Students

Each academic year at Uptown International School, students in grades 6-11 have the opportunity to earn scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to those who demonstrate exceptional talents in one of four categories:

1. Academic Excellence: For students who excel academically and achieve high results.
2. Performing Arts: For those who excel in singing, dancing, or theater.
3. Arabic Language and Islamic Values: For students who have a strong command of the Arabic language and a deep understanding of Islamic values.
4. Sports: For students with outstanding athletic abilities.

To qualify for a scholarship, students must be role models, uphold the school’s values, exhibit good behavior, and maintain regular attendance. Additionally, they should represent the school in their respective fields.

Transportation at Uptown International School

Getting to Uptown International School is safe and convenient. The school partners with the experienced company Arab Falcon Bus Rental LLC. All buses meet strict RTA safety standards, and the drivers are professionals with RTA licenses. Each bus is equipped with surveillance cameras and a tracking system to ensure the safety and whereabouts of students.

Convenient Uniform

Wearing a uniform is mandatory for all students at Uptown International School. Uniforms can be purchased at Magrudy’s store in City Center Mirdif or online. The store also sells physical education uniforms for different age groups. Students look stylish and feel comfortable in Magrudy’s uniforms.

Dining at Uptown International School

Ordering food in the school cafeteria is now easy and convenient. Parents can select and pay for meals through Stripe. Elementary students eat their meals in the cafeteria. The school provides different menus for different age groups:

• For young children from Pre-KG to KG 2, meals are served on trays.
• For students in grades 1-12, there is a buffet with hot and cold dishes.
• A live station with pasta, rice, and stir-fried dishes will be available soon.
