Description
Rugby School Thailand
A British international boarding school for children aged 2 to 18, located just 75 minutes from Bangkok.
Campus and Infrastructure
Located an hour from the capital’s airport, Rugby School Thailand offers a rare combination: proximity to urban conveniences alongside the benefits of countryside learning. Its 80-acre grounds — the largest school campus in Thailand — stretch across Chonburi Province’s picturesque landscape, where students study surrounded by nature. The territory houses specialized educational clusters, laboratories, a theatre with a professional recording studio, an eco-village, and outdoor learning centers. Four Olympic-standard pools, tennis courts, rugby and football pitches, martial arts zones, and even a petting zoo nestle among lakes and nature trails, creating an environment where children can learn, train, create, and relax without leaving campus.
British Curriculum with International Focus
The academic journey at Rugby School Thailand follows the British National Curriculum, progressing from early years (age 2) through primary education to senior years with IGCSE and A Level qualifications. Subject specialists teach from the early years, while from Year 5 onwards, English and mathematics are streamed by ability, allowing the program to adapt to each child’s needs. With a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6, personalized attention becomes the norm. Graduates consistently secure places at leading universities worldwide — Oxbridge, the London School of Economics (LSE), UCL, Brown University, McGill, and other institutions across the UK, Europe, US, and Canada. Over 50% achieve A*-A grades, while pass rates reach 100%.
Co-Curricular Program
The school day runs from eight in the morning until six in the evening, filled with more than lessons. Each term brings around 60 clubs and activities: sports (football, rugby, basketball, swimming, tennis, golf, volleyball), arts, music, theatre productions, coding, engineering clubs, and volunteer projects. Teams regularly compete in international and national tournaments, including FOBISIA competitions. Beyond regular activities, the calendar features school plays, concerts, science festivals, and STEM-themed weeks. Students participate in field trips and educational expeditions, while younger pupils engage in project work and the Duke of Edinburgh Award program. During holidays, English-language camps run on campus — summer, winter, and spring sessions combining sports, creativity, and team adventures.
Boarding with Flexible Options
Three modern boarding houses — separate buildings for boys, girls, and younger pupils — offer flexible arrangements of 7, 5, or 3 nights weekly, accommodating family needs. The facility houses 210 students, 45% of whom come from more than 33 countries, creating a genuinely multicultural atmosphere that prepares children for life in a global world. Younger boarders (from age 10) live separately under dedicated staff supervision, ensuring round-the-clock care alongside medical and psychological support. Communal dinners, evening activities, mandatory study hours, and weekend excursions structure daily life, while parents maintain flexible communication throughout their child’s education, receiving regular reports and opportunities to participate in school life.
