Unique Diploma

Saint Felix School has developed its own diploma program that guides students from Years 6 to 13 through practical skill development. The curriculum spans creative technologies and digital arts, scientific research, leadership training, and entrepreneurship. Modules range from F1 for Schools competitions and automotive maintenance to financial literacy and astronomy, while debate clubs and public speaking sessions sharpen critical thinking. Competitions like the Art Competition and Young Entrepreneur’s Challenge encourage students to demonstrate their growing capabilities.

Award System

The diploma follows a progressive structure where students earn bronze recognition in Year 6, advance to silver by Year 9’s end, and achieve gold upon completing Year 11. Those who graduate in Year 13 receive the platinum diploma—Saint Felix School’s highest distinction. Each level can be awarded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction based on individual achievement. Career counseling complements this framework by supporting everything from interview preparation to UCAS applications, helping graduates clarify their professional direction before entering adult life.

Forest School at Saint Felix School

The Forest School program takes learning outdoors, where children build shelters, weave fences, construct bird boxes, and cook over open fires while creating mud kitchens and insect hotels. These hands-on activities connect naturally to mathematics, geography, and science lessons, making abstract concepts tangible. Working among trees builds confidence and independence as students assess risks and overcome challenges on their own terms. This environment nurtures creative thinking and self-esteem while letting children direct their own investigations and discoveries.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

Saint Felix School participates in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, an international program for young people aged 14 to 24. It comprises four components: volunteering supports local communities, physical activity strengthens health, skill development unlocks creative potential, and expeditions—whether on foot or horseback—build teamwork and self-reliance. Participants develop leadership, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities that prove essential in university, careers, and everyday situations. Students typically begin with bronze in Year 9 before progressing toward silver and gold levels.
