Achievements of Jebel Ali School

Established Since 1977

Jebel Ali School has been providing a British-style education in Dubai since 1977. Initially, it served the children of expatriates who were involved in the construction of the Jebel Ali port. Over the years, the school has grown and now accommodates students of various nationalities and abilities.

In 1986, the ruler of Dubai issued a decree that granted the school the status of an independent and non-profit institution. This recognition highlighted the school’s commitment to delivering a high standard of education.

Outstanding Academic Performance

Students at Jebel Ali School consistently achieve impressive exam results. In the 2022-2023 academic year, 41% of the grades on the GCSE exams were A* (8/9), with two-thirds of all grades being A (7+) or higher.

According to the school’s principal, Simon Jodrell, Jebel Ali School focuses on helping students reach their full potential by supporting them at every stage of their education. This supportive environment contributes to their excellent academic performance.

All students at Jebel Ali School passed their English and mathematics exams. Remarkably, 42% of the students achieved the highest grade of 9 in English, 65% received A or higher (7-9) in sciences, and 66% obtained similar grades in mathematics.

Diverse Culture and Modern Campus

Jebel Ali School follows the UK curriculum but prides itself on its multicultural environment. The school is appreciated for its emphasis on diversity and fostering an understanding of different cultures among its students.

In 2016, the school moved to a new campus on Hessa Street. The campus features spacious and well-equipped facilities designed to cater to students from kindergarten to senior grades. The senior grades were introduced in 2021.
