Three Residences to Choose From

First-year students can choose between three residences, each suited to different lifestyles. Campus Halls sits right on campus, while Madeira Road is located in Lansdowne, and Home Park — a ten-story building — offers nearly five hundred rooms and studios. All three share the same standards: en-suite rooms, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, round-the-clock security, and lockable mailboxes. The university’s housing portfolio reached the finals of the Global Student Living Awards in 2023.

Campus Halls at Arts University Bournemouth

With 299 rooms just steps from lecture halls, Campus Halls appeals to those who value proximity to their studies. Solar panels reduce its energy consumption, and the location itself cuts down on commuting — both part of AUB’s sustainability approach. Students can opt for a cluster flat, where they share a kitchen and lounge with flatmates, or choose a self-contained studio with their own cooking space.

City Residences: Madeira Road and Home Park

Madeira Road opened in 2014 in the Lansdowne area, grouping 374 rooms and four studios across three blocks. Flats here accommodate six to eight residents, fostering a sense of community, while studios offer full autonomy with private kitchens and bathrooms. Home Park, the largest residence, spans ten floors and includes cluster flats for five to seven people alongside silver, gold, and premier studios that vary in finish and amenities. A communal lounge in the lobby encourages students from different floors to meet and connect.

Support Program and Private Housing

Residence students benefit from AUB ResLife, a program that assists with finances, study skills, career planning, and social events to help newcomers settle in. For those seeking alternatives, the university partners with Studentpad, where they can browse private flats and houses from accredited landlords. Advisors from the student office review rental contracts and offer guidance on what to watch for when choosing accommodation.
