Sporting Opportunities at Beeston Hall School

At Beeston Hall School, every student, regardless of their abilities, represents the school in team sports. Some even represent the county and region, and many continue to play for their senior schools, sometimes even at the national level. The school’s aim is to instill a sense of enjoyment in the game, confidence in oneself, and an understanding of the lifelong benefits of physical activity.

Each class at Beeston Hall School has daily games and one physical education lesson per week. Combined with matches, events, clubs, and additional training sessions, most students engage in about 10 hours of active sports each week.

Achievements and Facilities

Despite its size, Beeston Hall School boasts an impressive array of sporting talent and consistently outperforms its competitors. Over the past six years, the school has reached nine IAPS national hockey finals. In the last twelve years, students from Beeston Hall School have earned 39 sports scholarships to 14 national senior schools.

The school features excellent sports facilities, including a full-sized astroturf, a 20-meter outdoor heated swimming pool, a large sports hall, a shooting range, and an outdoor multi-sport rubber crumb surface. Additionally, there are several pitches, courts, and fields for various sports.

Beeston Hall School’s Sports Academies

Recently, Beeston Hall School launched a new initiative called the “Sports Academy,” providing broader access to professional sports coaches. The Luke Caswell Cricket Academy and the Tom Fisher Tennis Academy at Beeston offer students the opportunity to refine their skills, including individual coaching sessions and advice on sports nutrition.

Each year, the sports academies award two cricket scholarships and two tennis scholarships.
