Sports and Physical Activity

At Christ’s Hospital School, students have access to an extensive range of sports facilities. This includes twenty-one grass pitches for outdoor sports, floodlit all-weather pitches for hockey and football, netball and tennis courts, cricket squares, a double sports hall, and a gymnasium for indoor sports and activities. Additionally, there are squash and fives courts, a fitness suite, and a dance studio catering to various training and exercise options.

Historical Campus

The school’s campus is rich in history, featuring majestic buildings and a striking Quad. The traditional Tudor uniform worn by students reflects the school’s historical roots. A number of listed buildings on the campus indicate their historical significance, providing a constant connection to the school’s past.

Aquatic and Racket Sports

Christ’s Hospital School houses a six-lane, 25-meter swimming pool utilized for fitness classes, swimming lessons, and leisure swimming. The pool also includes a sauna for post-swim relaxation. Additionally, the school offers fifteen tennis courts to facilitate its tennis programs and other racket sports activities.

Future Expansion

The school is set to enhance its sports facilities with the construction of modern athletics and exercise amenities. These will include a 400m running track, Padel courts, and an outdoor exercise adventure trail, with the expected completion by autumn 2024. This expansion aligns with the school’s dedication to providing a supportive educational environment for its students.
