General Information about the School

Claremont School was founded in 1925 and has steadily grown since then. Today, the institution educates more than 700 students aged from 1 to 18 years. The school is divided into two campuses: Nursery and Senior School. The first is located on a picturesque 125-acre site in St Leonards, while the latter is situated in the village of Bodiam, accommodating over 310 pupils. The partnership with International Schools Partnership ensures high educational standards and integration into an international community of 80 schools across 21 countries.

Beautiful Grounds and Facilities

The Claremont campus consistently impresses with its modern infrastructure. It includes science laboratories, a performing arts centre, sports facilities, and woodlands. The school has also invested £3.5 million into the Octagon project, which revamped classrooms and art studios. Its location near London and by the sea adds a unique charm to the educational experience.

Academic Programme

The curriculum at Claremont School is diverse, covering core subjects, languages, and the arts. In the Sixth Form, A Levels and BTEC qualifications are offered in various areas, including digital media and entrepreneurship. Support for international students is provided through specialised programmes, such as Pre-A Level, which focuses on English language learning. More than 89% of graduates progress to their dream universities, including Cambridge and UCL.

Extracurricular Activities

Life at Claremont School is rich and engaging. Students can choose from a multitude of clubs, including sports, performing arts, programming, and eco-labels. The unique Forest School programme offers outdoor learning with a focus on ecosystems. The school also actively participates in international events, such as Model United Nations and the ISP Chess Tournament, enhancing students’ communication and analytical skills.

Accommodation for Students

Claremont School provides flexible accommodation options for students: full and partial boarding in two houses, Clyde and Pyke. These homes are designed for comfortable and safe living, featuring communal areas and gardens. Boarding at the school fosters independence and brings students together through a variety of activities and weekend trips.
