Global Business School offers a 12-month preparatory program that prepares overseas learners for business sector professions. The program concentrates on enhancing English language proficiency and establishing fundamental business knowledge, it also provides options to study in Barcelona, Malta, or through distance learning, with intake periods in either October or January, allowing participants to choose a timeframe spanning 6 to 9 months according to their individual situations.
Flexible Structure at Global Business School
The flexible structure adapts to individual needs across three stages. First semester focuses on linguistic development through comprehensive practice in reading, writing, grammar, academic business English, and professional communication. Second semester shifts toward business communication skills and economics fundamentals. The final phase brings together these foundations, introducing fundamental business concepts, IT applications within this sphere, and the way organizations engage with society.
Accreditation
After completion, students receive a Certificate of Higher Education in Foundation in Business with Academic English from Global Business School. This qualification holds licensing from Malta Further Higher Education Authority and accreditation from Catalonia’s education department, corresponds to level 4 in both Maltese and European frameworks, and represents 60 ECTS credits that reflect the scope and depth of content that has been covered.
Admission Requirements
Applicants for the 12-month preparatory program should possess a high school diploma, BTEC with MPP, GCSE/IGCSE “O” Levels or A Levels, first-year IB or certificate, or 48 equivalent UCAS Tariff points. English proficiency can be confirmed through:

- Cambridge ESOL Certificate in Advanced English with grade C or higher
