Campus on Al Reem Island

GEMS World Academy in Abu Dhabi is located in the Najmat district on Al Reem Island, making it accessible to families throughout the capital—from Al Khalidiya and Corniche Road to Saadiyat and Al Raha Beach. The school relocated here in 2022, gaining a modern campus whose spaces were purpose-designed for learning, creativity, and athletics. Since then, infrastructure development has continued, with new facilities opening in August 2025 to further enrich the educational environment.

Learning Spaces

The campus supports creative development through music rooms with individual practice studios, spacious art facilities, and an extensive library for research work. Students also study Arabic language and Islamic culture in specially equipped classrooms. Beyond academic zones, there’s a cafeteria serving nutritious meals, bookshops, uniform stores, and prayer rooms. Parents, meanwhile, can enjoy a comfortable café with a relaxation area while they wait.

Technology and Science at GEMS Academy Abu Dhabi

The Innovation Studio serves as the foundation for technological education here, where students engage with robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality. Rather than merely covering theory, they build their own projects at the intersection of science and technology. Scientific education relies on fully equipped chemistry, physics, and biology laboratories, where students conduct experiments and pursue in-depth study of the natural sciences—preparation that positions them well for university research.

Sports and Future Development

A healthy lifestyle is supported by well-developed athletic infrastructure: a multi-functional hall with six courts, audiovisual equipment, and a stage; a full-size football field; a 25-meter competition pool with six lanes; and a learning pool for younger students. As of August 2025, the campus also features design and technology labs, a second library for senior students, food technology and robotics with CAD/CAM classrooms, a materials workshop, a fitness center, and new art and play spaces—additions that have made it even more functional for comprehensive student development.
