What goals does the early years programme pursue?

The early years programme encompasses seven learning goals divided into prime and specific areas. Prime areas—communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development—lay the foundation, while children gradually transition to specific areas: literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, expressive arts and design.

Which subjects do specialist teachers lead?

At GEMS World Academy Abu Dhabi, specialist educators handle visual arts, music, physical education, swimming, Arabic language, and Islamic studies (for Muslim students only). Islamic studies becomes mandatory for Muslim learners starting from Year 2 onwards.

How many adults work in each classroom?
