Music Program

Girls can join the Senior or Junior Choir, depending on their year. Beyond choral singing, they can explore the Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, A cappella Group, and bands. Every two years, the choirs embark on European tours that open fresh experiences. The school houses a 24-track digital recording studio alongside several rehearsal rooms where musicians refine their craft. Public concerts happen regularly, giving performers a chance to share what they’ve developed.

Drama at Heathfield School

The full LAMDA program runs here, with theatre classes and workshops from Envy Performing Arts. Accredited by the Council for Dance Education, the school offers exams in Poetry and Prose, Acting and Performance, Public Speaking, and Mime. The musical theatre program includes exams in Singing and Movement, both individually and in groups. St. Mary’s Theatre serves as the main space, where girls learn lighting and sound control, costume and set creation. They participate in the Shakespeare Theatre Festival and many other productions, including annual shows and the summer performance.

Dance

An updated Dance Studio with ballet bars and mirrors hosts classes run in partnership with Envy Performing Arts. The classical ballet program follows RAD guidelines, offering both graded and vocational exams alongside recreational sessions. Senior girls can pursue a two-year GCSE course that takes place off-site. Dancers regularly participate in concerts and shows, presenting their own choreographic work.

The creative program spans multiple art forms, each guided by experienced instructors. Modern facilities and dedicated art spaces support the work, creating an environment where girls can experiment freely. Through hands-on practice, they build technical skills alongside their own approaches, learning to express themselves across different media. The setup encourages both craft development and personal exploration.
