Why Hotel Management

At International Hotel and Tourism Management Institute, students earn two qualifications simultaneously: a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in International Hospitality Management from Ulster University and a Swiss Degree (Dipl. Hotelier-Gastronom HF). Both diplomas correspond to level 6 of the Swiss National and European Qualifications Framework, making them valued in the professional community. After graduation, some become managers of small hotels, others build careers in international chains, while some launch their own ventures.

Dual Diploma and Bachelor’s Program

The first year of the Dual Swiss Federal Diploma & International Bachelor Degree focuses on fundamentals: students earn Federal Diploma 1 and International Certificate while studying restaurant service, culinary arts, hotel management, German, and IT disciplines. In the second year, which brings the second level of federal and international diplomas, the focus shifts toward financial processes and hotel operations, along with a fundamental understanding of hospitality.

The final year awards students the Dipl. Hotelier-Gastronom HF and International Higher Diploma—this stage prepares them for their first management roles through marketing, operational activities, and cross-cultural management. It also covers strategic management, HR, and international tourism, allowing graduates to receive diplomas from Ulster University and HTMI fully prepared for career heights.

Fast-Track International Diploma

The accelerated format allows completion of the Graduate Faster International Bachelor Degree in three years without compromising quality standards. Already in the first year, students receive an International Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Operations while mastering financial literacy, fundamental hospitality understanding, and languages.

In the second year at International Hotel and Tourism Management Institute, which culminates in an International Higher Diploma, emphasis is placed on leadership, marketing and analytics, as well as developing cultural awareness. The final year opens access to dual diplomas—BSc (Hons) from Ulster University and BA from HTMi. At this stage, knowledge deepens in strategic planning, corporate responsibility, and global tourism trends, opening doors to professional success.

HTMI Bachelor’s Specializations

In their final year, International Hotel and Tourism Management Institute students can choose one of five specializations that best matches their career plans:
