Academic Programmes

Kings Oxford designed its educational system around the 14-19 age group, specifically targeting students bound for competitive British universities and top creative schools. The college structures its work through several progressive stages, each tailored to specific ages and their corresponding academic challenges:

  • International High School Programme (14-17 years) — flexible course lasting one to three terms with mandatory language preparation and personal development program
  • A-level Programme (from 16 years) — classic two-year course in three formats: standard, second-year entry, or retake year; also available as extended variant with intensive English for international students from 15 years
  • Art & Design Foundation (from 16.5 years) — one-year preparation for creative specializations, where 80% of time devoted to art and design
  • UAL Level 3/4 Foundation Diploma (from 16.5 years) — specialized diploma under UAL Awarding Body aegis, recognized by leading British art schools

Small Classes

Kings Oxford relies on notably small classes, giving instructors room to provide substantial individual attention. They adapt explanations to each student’s needs and adjust pacing accordingly — particularly valuable for international students and exam candidates. This ratio enables personalized development plans and careful progress tracking, while the CAT 4 cognitive abilities test helps assess each student’s academic potential and learning preferences.

Support Team

Each student works with five specialist categories. Personal Tutors provide primary guidance throughout the course, while Subject Teachers develop deep expertise in chosen fields. The Director of Studies oversees general development and stays available for consultations. University Consultants guide the entire application journey, from selecting universities to submission. The Learning Support Coordinator, holding a master’s in educational psychology, assesses students with additional needs and trains staff in effective support methods.

Teachers at Kings Oxford

Kings Oxford teachers specialize deeply in their fields, with many holding advanced or doctoral degrees. Rather than simply conveying information, they share profound understanding from multiple perspectives. Creative instructors are practicing artists and designers maintaining active careers alongside teaching. They understand diverse student needs and know how to unlock individual talents. Through passion and extensive experience, these teachers create an environment where students develop genuine fascination with their subjects beyond mere requirements.
