Nursery Program

At Lucton School, the journey begins with the nursery, where children from 5 to 15 months are nurtured in a safe and comfortable environment. Progressive Learning for Toddlers

As children grow from 15 months to 3 years, they transition through the “Ladybirds” and “Bumblebees” groups. These stages are crucial for development, and Lucton School provides a stimulating environment with various zones designed to spark curiosity and exploration.

The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces serves as a dynamic learning environment, with a strong focus on play, respect, and social interaction.

Preschool at Lucton School

For children aged 3 to 4 years, the preschool program offers a more structured day with a mix of teacher-led and child-initiated activities.

Primary Education

Reception Class

The Reception class at Lucton School adheres to the legislative framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage program. The curriculum is built on a practical and play-based approach, with lessons often overlapping multiple areas of development.

Topics are chosen based on the interests and needs of the children, ensuring a personalized approach and engagement. From understanding personal hygiene to learning the basics of mathematics, the program is comprehensive and takes into account each child’s journey.

Middle School Experience

At the heart of Lucton is the Middle School, covering years 6 to 8. Each group has its own classroom and a tutor who supports students in both academic and pastoral aspects of their education. The curriculum is designed to be both challenging and inspiring, with a variety of subjects and extracurricular activities that pave the way for serious GCSE exams.

Preparation for A Levels and University

Lucton School’s program for students aged 16 to 18 is designed to maximize their potential for university admission and future careers. With a special focus on A Level studies, students receive personalized support from specialist tutors, including assistance with the UCAS application process. The school takes pride in its students securing places at their chosen universities.
