Minerva’s Virtual Academy offers several payment schemes for 2025. The most economical option is the annual plan at £8,830, which includes an £880 deposit alongside all core components—from live lessons to mentoring and extracurriculars. For families preferring shorter periods, there’s a termly plan of £3,370 per term (including deposit), though this costs more overall. A seven-payment monthly scheme at £1,221 each is available too, making it the priciest route. Whichever structure you choose, a separate £55 registration fee applies.
Exams and Subjects at Minerva’s Virtual Academy
State exams require separate budgeting, as they’re not covered by tuition. Year 11 students take GCSE exams costing £200–£400 depending on subject count, while sixth-formers preparing for university sit A-level exams—roughly £100 per component, totaling around £600 per subject. Additional subjects beyond the standard curriculum also involve extra investment: £880 for Years 7–11 or £2,410 for sixth form. Students taking Art & Design or Music GCSE pay an additional £750 due to these courses’ specialized nature.
Special Programs
Several standalone programs offer enhanced learning opportunities. Sixth-formers studying three A-levels can enroll in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) for £990, which develops independent research skills. Year 10 students have a similar option through the HPQ at £650. Those needing specialized assistance can access the six-week SEND Support program for £283.50. Drama enthusiasts might explore acting workshops at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, starting from £15 for group sessions, while private tutoring across any subject costs £70–£90 per hour.
Study Materials and Trips
Most learning resources live on the Canvas platform, eliminating textbook purchases for most students. Sixth-formers, however, benefit from exam-specific books costing £10–£30 per subject, while those studying English Literature in Years 10–11 need to acquire set texts for £10–£15. School trips operate separately at £25–£80 per event, excluding transport and meals that families arrange independently. Minor additional costs include Password English and Maths assessments at £25 and card payment processing fees.
