Extracurricular Activities

Clubs and Societies

North Bridge House Prep School offers nearly 40 different clubs for its students. Since the roster changes from term to term, children can either continue with a familiar pursuit or explore something entirely new. This flexibility prevents them from getting stuck with a single hobby throughout the year, allowing them to sample sports, creative arts, sciences, and foreign languages while gradually discovering what truly captivates them.

Athletic Programs

Beyond conventional training sessions, North Bridge House Prep School provides some rather unusual options. Eastern martial arts have proven particularly popular: fencing and karate build agility and strength while teaching patience, respect for opponents, and tactical thinking. The athletic schedule refreshes several times annually, so those kicking a football in autumn might try something completely different come spring—helping them find their sporting path without pressure. Street dance, karate, and fencing all feature in the rotation.

Creative Pursuits at North Bridge House Prep School

Artistic clubs transform ideas into tangible projects. Students produce short films, compile digital magazine issues for News Bridge House—interviewing teachers, covering politics and current events—and work with fabrics and yarn to develop their imagination practically. The musical life here thrives through an orchestra and several choirs that welcome all interested participants, while visiting instructors provide individual lessons on string, wind, and percussion instruments for those developing professionally.

Musical instruments:

  • Strings: cello, violin, guitar
  • Wind: flute, clarinet, saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone
  • Keyboard and percussion: piano

Trips and Events

Excursions at North Bridge House Prep School deliver vibrant experiences that earned high marks from the chief inspectorate. Younger pupils visit London Zoo, venture backstage, chat with zoologists, and observe evolutionary principles firsthand, whereas older students spend five days on Austrian ski slopes in the Salzburger Sportwelt region under expert guidance. Meanwhile, major celebrations bring together children, parents, and staff: the winter festival features an art exhibition, concert performances, a Christmas market, and games, while the talent competition showcases singing, theatrical performances, and even magic tricks.
