Two Paths for Admission

North Bridge House Prep School structures its preparation around two flexible routes that families choose together. Some leave after Year 6 at eleven, sitting 11+ or consortium exams, while others remain through Year 8 and enter at thirteen via the 13+ route, which opens doors to a broader range of prestigious institutions. In the senior years, pupils prepare intensively for Common Entrance and Common Pre-Test, receiving tailored support that ranges from extra mathematics sessions to interview coaching so they feel confident throughout the process.

North Bridge House Prep School Graduates

The 2024 cohort secured places at London’s most competitive independent institutions, including Channing, City of London, Eton College, Francis Holland, Godolphin & Latymer, Highgate, Merchant Taylor’s, Mill Hill, and Wellington. North London Collegiate School, South Hampstead High School, St. Paul’s, University College School, and Westminster—renowned for their exceptionally high academic standards—proved particularly popular. Meanwhile, half the leavers continued into North Bridge House’s senior sites in Hampstead or Canonbury on headteacher recommendation, ensuring continuity without external entrance exams.

Scholarships and Talents

Children earned scholarships and awards across academics, art, mathematics, music, and physical education in 2024, with inspectors noting how many pupils receive recognition for abilities spanning sciences, performing arts, sport, and drama. Preparation extends beyond the classroom: participants compete in national challenges like the UKMT mathematics competition and the Townsend-Warner history prize, strengthening their academic profiles while demonstrating breadth when applying to selective destinations.

Future Schools Coordinator

From Year 5 onward, each child works with a dedicated future schools coordinator who helps families identify the optimal educational path by analyzing individual strengths, interests, and potential. When it comes to the final stage, support encompasses everything from crafting reference letters and rehearsing interviews with mentors to providing expert guidance on choosing institutions that genuinely match a child’s character and ambitions.
