Program Structure

North Bridge House Regent’s Park welcomes 350 children aged 4 to 13, preparing them for competitive senior schools through 11+ and 13+ exams. Class sizes average twenty students, shrinking further in The Nest and Upper School years, which allows teachers to notice each child’s individual traits. The journey unfolds across three stages, each with distinct priorities:

  • The Nest (ages 4–7) — from day one, young learners work with specialist teachers in art, drama, French, music, and sport, plus visit a forest school
  • Key Stage 2 (ages 7–11) — core subjects expand to include computing, critical thinking, Latin or Spanish with Mandarin, plus modules in art history, film, philosophy, and economics
  • Upper School (ages 11–13) — preparation incorporates GCSE elements and educational trips to Italy and Iceland

Philosophy of North Bridge House Prep School

The place runs on “True North” — helping each child chart their own route to success. Teachers don’t stop at lessons: they share lunch with students, chat in hallways, and build relationships that make children more confident communicators while broadening their cultural horizons. From year five onward, a coordinator and full subject team join the process, tailoring pathways for Consortium exams, Common Entrance, or transfer to senior schools within the group. Graduates regularly secure academic, creative, and sports scholarships to institutions like Mill Hill, Westminster, and UCS.

Technology at North Bridge House

From age 7, every child receives a personal device that becomes part of daily work, opening access to advanced educational tools while digital skills develop through research projects and online collaboration. Meanwhile, the Innovation Suite offers a dedicated space for creative and technical experiments — 3D printing, robotics, design. Inspectors noted that weaving contemporary skills into everyday routines represents a leading-edge approach to British education.

Approach to Outcomes

North Bridge House Prep School builds major results from small moments: teachers cultivate productive relationships through brief daily conversations, showing children how to articulate thoughts clearly and make strong impressions. History and geography, for instance, follow a knowledge-rich model rather than just covering themes. Inspectors observed that graduates leave confident, curious, and ready for any challenge, supported by friends and faculty. This outcome emerges from combining academic rigor with creative experimentation in specialized studios — from soundproof music rooms to the bright art workshop beneath the historic building’s roof.
