General Admission Process

Stage 1: Enquiry Upon registration, applicants are invited to submit a full school report and UKiset report, setting the foundation for the admission journey.

Stage 2: Registration A warm invitation to register is extended upon satisfactory review of the school report and UKiset, signaling the official start of the application process.

Stage 3: Assessment For Years 7, 9, and 12, entrance exams in English, Maths, and Non-Verbal Reasoning await, alongside the Oxford Online Placement Test for non-native speakers. Flexible assessment options include local British Council offices or educational agent’s offices. A Skype interview concludes the assessment phase.

Stage 4: Offers Offers are extended based on performance in entrance tests, interviews, and a reference from the applicant’s headteacher. Upon acceptance, a two-week deadline ensures prompt confirmation with the submission of an acceptance form and deposit.

Specific Year Group Admissions

Year 7 (Age 11-12) Families can opt for standard entrance or the Early Entrance Programme (EEP), with offers made in February of the entry year. Paper-based entrance exams in January precede the offers.

Year 9 (Age 13-14) Similar to Year 7, families have the choice of standard entrance or EEP, with offers also made in February. Paper-based entrance exams in January pave the way for admissions.

Year 12 (Age 17-18) Standard entrance applications are accepted, with offers made in December of the preceding year. Minimum GCSE requirements for Roedean Sixth Form must be met, alongside entrance exams and a Skype interview for non-native speakers.

Scholarships and Bursaries

Roedean offers a range of scholarships in academic excellence, sport, performing arts, and more, with varying application processes and eligibility criteria. Additionally, means-tested bursaries are available, covering up to 100% of fees, and require annual re-application.

Fees

Full boarding fees, ranging from £13,275 to £15,925 per term depending on the year group, ensure access to exceptional education. Additional charges may apply for extra subjects and activities.

Overseas Admissions

Students applying from abroad can engage with educational agencies or apply directly to the school. English language proficiency tests are mandatory for non-native speakers to ensure readiness for the academic rigors of Roedean.
