Tuition Costs

Tuition Fee Structure

Annual fees at Rugby School Thailand for 2025 range from 552,000 to 975,000 baht, with younger students (ages 2-7) paying 552,000-711,000 baht, middle years (7-13) costing 739,000-836,000 baht, and senior students (13-18) charged 922,000-975,000 baht. This covers textbooks, examinations, resits, an annual educational trip, lunches and daily snacks. Boarding becomes available from age 10, adding 272,000-471,000 baht yearly for three meals daily, round-the-clock support, weekend excursions and Saturday enrichment programs. First-time enrollees also pay one-off fees: 5,500 baht for application review, 200,000 baht as a place reservation, and a 100,000 baht refundable deposit that protects against unpaid accounts at graduation.

Additional Support

Not every student thrives on the standard curriculum alone—some need extra help with English or subject comprehension. The institution employs a five-tier assessment system where teachers evaluate newcomers and assign appropriate support levels, ranging from light adjustments to intensive EAL (English as an Additional Language) or SfL (Support for Learning) sessions. These services cost extra depending on intensity and duration, but charges cease once a child reaches grade-level proficiency. This approach ensures families don’t pay for services no longer needed while guaranteeing that struggling students receive timely assistance during adaptation or academic challenges.

Rugby School Thailand Scholarships

Talented children can reduce their expenses through scholarships available from Year 7 (around ages 11-12) onwards, also offered in Years 8, 9, 10 and 12. Awards fall into two categories: minor scholarships covering 10% of tuition and boarding fees, major covering 20%, with discounts applying to both academic costs and accommodation if the student boards on campus. Academic awards go to those who excel in entrance testing, pass additional subject exams, and impress during interviews. Creative and athletic candidates—in art, drama, music, design, technology, and sports—submit portfolios, undergo departmental interviews, and complete practical assessments like auditions or timed productions. Sports scholarships exist only for swimming, football, basketball, rugby, tennis, golf, volleyball and athletics.

Family Discounts and Payment Options

Families planning long-term enrollment or registering multiple children benefit from additional incentives. Paying the full annual fee before term starts yields a discount, with percentages varying by service package. Multi-child households receive reductions that lower overall educational costs. The institution accepts both annual and quarterly payment schedules—the latter spreading financial burden evenly throughout the year. Notably, families whose children board full-week or continuously across three consecutive terms receive their 200,000 baht enrollment fee back, effectively compensating them for choosing full boarding and making campus residence more economical for long-term students.
