Establishment and Expansion
When The English College Dubai opened its doors in 1992, it welcomed secondary students from grades 7 through 13, building its foundation on academic excellence paired with genuine care for each pupil. The school quickly outgrew its original scope, which led to the 2005 launch of a primary division that accepted children from preparatory through year six. This expansion meant families could now begin their educational journey within a single institution, ensuring the kind of continuity that makes genuine development possible.
Development of The English College Dubai
By 2019, the college had achieved something many parents value deeply: it became a complete educational pathway from early childhood through A-level exams. Students could now progress through their entire schooling without institutional disruption, remaining in an environment that already knew them. The following year brought a purpose-built middle school campus, where new science laboratories, art studios, and an impressive sports center gave older students the spaces their goals needed.
International Recognition
In 2022, The English College Dubai earned Outstanding rating from the British Schools Overseas inspectorate—the top grade, awarded to only a handful of British schools worldwide. This success, which recognized exceptional teaching and student care, was soon followed by a Very Good rating from Dubai’s Education Department. That same year, joining the ISP international network boosted the school’s worldwide reputation while opening fresh collaborative opportunities.
Innovative Future
The 2025 debut of a dedicated STEAM building combined music, art, sciences, robotics, and tech under one roof, creating specialized spaces where students could experiment and bring bold ideas to life. This facility embodies what the school has always believed: that children deserve spaces encouraging them to explore widely, grow diverse capabilities, and actively create what comes next—a philosophy that continues guiding its growth beyond academic instruction alone.
