Three Distinct Pathways for Varied Age Groups

At Uptown International School, a prestigious academic institution in Dubai, pupils ranging from 3-18 years partake in three specialized programs. For the youngest learners, aged 3-12, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) is in place. Adolescents between the ages of 11-16 progress to the Middle Years Programme (MYP). Lastly, for the older students, aged 16-19, one of the most rigorous courses globally, the Diploma Programme (DP), is offered.

PYP at Uptown

Within the PYP at Uptown International School, the youngest scholars engage the world through playfulness and investigative learning. Adaptable Program for Teenagers

The MYP, overseen by an experienced MYP coordinator, integrates global benchmarks with the American Common Core criteria. Consequently, students who complete their studies at Uptown International School are awarded both an international and an American diploma.

Encompassing eight core subjects—languages, literature, social studies, sciences, mathematics, arts, physical education, and design—the MYP is comprehensive. For students in grades 9 and 10, a personal project serves as a synthesis of their educational journey.

IB DP at Uptown International School

In the DP at Uptown International School, an emphasis on research-driven learning prevails. Learners build upon previous knowledge, but are also encouraged to question and probe everything around them with curiosity. Answers are sought through experiments, dialogues, and assorted readings. Students discern the interconnections between various disciplines, track their growth, and apply their insights practically.

Renowned for its intensive nature, this program includes six subjects, three at an advanced level. Moreover, additional courses like CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), Theory of Knowledge, and the Extended Essay are part of this curriculum.
