Infrastructure and partnerships
Worth’s grounds feature 9 rugby pitches, 12 football fields, 3 cricket squares, and a floodlit artificial surface. The school also owns its golf course, illuminated tennis courts, an indoor sports hall, and a modern fitness center equipped with training apparatus and a golf simulator. Beyond this extensive on-site provision, Worth has forged partnerships with local clubs—most notably with K2 centre, which grants pupils access to an Olympic pool, professional athletics facilities, and 3G artificial playing surfaces.
Rugby and hockey
Since the senior school opened in 1959, rugby has been woven into Worth’s fabric. Boys play it as their main autumn sport, while spring sees both genders competing in sevens format. Several alumni now represent Harlequins’ youth teams in the Premiership. Hockey, meanwhile, is led by a two-time Olympian whose expertise shapes both the girls’ autumn and boys’ spring programs, with each age group training twice weekly. This same coach also runs Hawks Hockey Club, which operates from the school grounds and welcomes youngsters aged five to eighteen.
Worth School sports academies
For those with serious ambitions, Worth operates year-round academies in cricket, football, and golf. Participants work with external coaches and receive personalized development plans that guide their progress. Additionally, the Talented Athlete Support Programme offers video analysis, psychological support, nutritional guidance, and time management assistance—ensuring that gifted athletes can balance their sporting pursuits with academic commitments while developing the mental and physical skills needed for sustained performance.
