Mountain School

Aiglon College Switzerland collaborates with Bear Grylls Survival Academy to offer an integrated outdoor learning program known as the Mountain School. This program focuses on character development through practical experiences. Students in grades 3-4 dedicate one day a week to nature outings, applying classroom knowledge in real-world settings. Activities take place in local mountain huts, by rivers, and in forests, where students undertake personal and team challenges designed by the survival academy team.

The Mountain School combines academic subjects, such as studying soil or deforestation, with survival skills like building shelters and lighting fires. Each semester focuses on different seasonal skills needed in the Alps, and students progress as they grow older. This approach deepens their understanding of the curriculum through engaging practical experiences, promoting personal growth.

Travel Programs

For students in grades 7-8, Aiglon College Switzerland organizes special trips. Seventh graders participate in a two-week course at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. They learn survival skills, undergo astronaut training, and explore engineering, space flights, and xenobiology.

Eighth graders delve into the ancient wonders and cultural depths of Greece, visiting historical sites in Athens and receiving sailing training on a 15-meter yacht through the Royal Yachting Association program.

University Preparation

Aiglon College Switzerland provides comprehensive support for university preparation. The American company AlphaPrep conducts an intensive five-day SAT preparation course on campus, and Aiglon serves as an official SAT testing center. For students applying to British universities, tailored preparation for necessary entrance exams is also available.

University Counseling

The university counselors at Aiglon College Switzerland offer extensive support throughout the application process. They advise on university selection, writing personal statements and essays, filling out applications, and preparing for entrance exams.

Counselors prepare school reports, recommendations, and submit all supporting documents to universities, advocating for the applicants. They provide guidance on interview techniques and auditions, assist with final university selection, and support other post-graduation plans.
