At Aiglon College Switzerland, students have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of sports, both competitive and non-competitive. The school offers excellent facilities for various activities. Students can develop their speed and endurance in athletics or choose badminton and basketball. Rock climbing and cross-country running provide opportunities to challenge oneself and reach new heights. Team sports like football, volleyball, and touch rugby offer the excitement of classic team games.
Other available sports include golf, squash, table tennis, alpine skiing, indoor hockey, swimming, netball, and strength training in the gym. These activities help students maintain excellent physical fitness while having fun.
Partnerships at Aiglon College
Aiglon College Switzerland is the first in Europe to partner with Manchester City Football School. Coach Gareth Whalley teaches an advanced football program tailored to individual and team needs, regardless of skill level or gender. The school also collaborates with Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn in alpine skiing.
Competitions and Training
Teams at Aiglon College meet at least twice a week, utilizing the campus facilities exclusively. Students regularly compete with other Swiss schools in various sports. Competitions are held at different levels, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate. For those looking to improve their skills, individual training sessions are available.
Winter Sports
In winter, students at Aiglon College enjoy a variety of winter sports. They can participate in alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ski touring. They have access to over 112 km of slopes and the opportunity to ski on the glacier from October to May.
Aiglon College Switzerland Campus
The campus features the modern Tony Jashanmal Sports Centre, equipped with two full-size multi-purpose courts and a fitness center. Additionally, there are two artificial turf football fields on campus. Students also make use of local sports facilities, including the Villars tennis center, an athletics stadium, an indoor pool, an ice rink, and Lake Geneva.
