Boarding Life at All Hallows School

At All Hallows School, the boarding experience is unparalleled, providing a home away from home where students thrive. Devoted staff, many of whom reside on campus year-round, work diligently to cultivate a warm and nurturing environment. The boarding house transcends being merely a residence; it is a close-knit community where enduring friendships are forged, and personal development is encouraged through shared experiences and mutual support. Boarding at All Hallows equips students not only for their academic pursuits but also for the wider world beyond the gates.

Activities and Social Life

Life in the boarding house is full of activities and social engagements designed to foster camaraderie and enjoyment. An extensive programme offers students numerous opportunities to bond with their peers. To further enhance these connections, boarding passes are provided, allowing boarders to invite friends for complimentary overnight stays. Throughout the academic year, regular Exeat weekends are organised, during which boarders can go home, stay with guardians, or visit friends, ensuring a balanced blend of school life and personal time.

To maintain connections with their families, students are permitted to use their electronic devices a few times each week for a limited period. Outside these designated times, devices are securely stored by staff, promoting face-to-face interaction and socialising among students.

Daily Routine at All Hallows School

The daily routine at All Hallows School is meticulously structured to ensure a harmonious and enriching environment. Evenings begin with students heading upstairs at scheduled intervals to start their nighttime routines. Quiet reading is encouraged before lights out, with staff often reading bedtime stories to younger pupils, creating a peaceful and comforting atmosphere. Bedtimes are carefully staggered by age: younger students have lights out at 8:30 PM, Year 7 students at 9:00 PM, and Year 8 students at 9:15 PM. A high priority is placed on sleep, ensuring a tranquil period before lights out to support students’ overall well-being and readiness for the day ahead.
