Founding and Early Years
Cape Cod Academy was founded back in 1976 by a group of parents who were determined to keep an independent day school option alive in the region. Since then, it’s been our home, where we’ve grown and learned together. From the very beginning, there was a sense of community, with parents, faculty, and trustees all working hard to make this school the best it could be.
Campus Development
In 1984, Cape Cod Academy made a big move by purchasing the land where it stands today. It was a significant moment for us all. The following academic year marked a fresh start as we settled into our new surroundings. With this move came growth and planning, solidifying our place as a leader in education on Cape Cod.

One thing that sets Cape Cod Academy apart is its focus on rigorous academics and personalized learning through PAL (Personalized Approach to Learning). With small class sizes, averaging just 12 students, we get the attention we need to thrive. The school not only pushes us academically but also helps us develop important life skills, all within a supportive community.
International Program
Our school isn’t just about what’s local; it’s about embracing the world. Thanks to our International Student Program, run by Amerigo Education, we’ve had the privilege of learning alongside students from countries like China, Germany, Haiti, Japan, Lebanon, Spain, Iceland, and Russia. It’s a diverse community that enriches our experience here at CCA.
Accreditation and Affiliations
Knowing that Cape Cod Academy is accredited by NEASC and affiliated with NAIS and AISNE gives us confidence in the quality of education we receive. These affiliations show that our school is committed to maintaining high standards, which benefits us all as students.
Modern Developments
CCA is always moving forward, always looking for ways to improve. We have a wide range of AP courses, preparing us for college and beyond. And when it comes to college counseling, our school’s dedication shines through – 100% of us get accepted into four-year colleges, including some of the most competitive ones like Ivy League schools.
