Pastoral Structure

The pastoral care system at Beechwood School is robust and well-organized. Each student is assigned a Form Tutor responsible for managing small classes and maintaining strong lines of communication with families. Heads of Year offer dedicated support for their respective grades, focusing on welfare and development. The Pastoral Lead, Mrs. Startup, supervises students from Year 7 to 11, working closely with Form Tutors and Heads of Year to ensure comprehensive support.

PSCHE Program

The Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSCHE) program covers essential skills vital for student well-being. Topics include personal health encompassing mental, physical, and financial wellness, along with citizenship responsibilities. The sessions address critical areas such as digital safety and understanding gender relationships. Tailored to match developmental stages, this program ensures that students engage meaningfully with important issues that affect their lives.

Catering Menus

Beechwood School’s catering operates on a detailed four-week menu cycle, adjusting for ingredient availability. The menu features diverse cuisines, including Italian, American, Indian, and British, while ensuring vegetarian options are available daily. Comfort foods are complemented by balanced meals, offering a variety of proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables. Desserts range from chocolate brownies to fruit turnovers, appealing to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs.

Beechwood Parents Association

The Beechwood Parents Association (PA) comprises parents and guardians from both the Prep and Senior School, aiming to enhance community ties. They organize events and activities to support fundraising efforts for the school’s wishlist. Communication is facilitated through class representatives who connect parents with school updates. Termly meetings, conducted in person or via Zoom, engage parents efficiently, making participation accessible and straightforward.
