At the British International School of Chicago, part of the Nord Anglia Education network, the admission process is meticulously designed to match students to the right educational programs across its two campuses, Lincoln Park and South Loop. Each campus has specific entry requirements that cater to different educational stages, ensuring that students receive a personalized and suitable academic path.

Lincoln Park Campus Admission Requirements

General Requirements

• Application Fee: $100
• Interview: Mandatory

Entry Requirements by Educational Stage

Nursery to Year 2

• Application form
• Applicant statement
• Child’s information
• School progress reports
• Teacher evaluation
• Parent meeting
• Playdate or shadow day for the student

Years 3-6

• Application form
• Applicant statement
• Child’s information
• School progress reports
• Teacher evaluation
• Parent meeting
• Shadow day for the student

Years 7-9

• Application form
• Applicant statement
• Child’s information
• School progress reports/transcripts
• English and math evaluations
• Administration evaluation
• Shadow day

• Standardized testing (e.g., ISEE, SSAT, MAP, PSAT)
• TOEFL or TOEFL Jr. if needed for limited English proficiency

Years 10-13

• Same as Years 7-9, including required standardized tests and English proficiency testing.

South Loop Campus Admission Requirements

General Requirements

• Application Fee: $100

Entry Requirements by Educational Stage

Nursery to Year 2

• Same requirements as Lincoln Park for early years: application form, child’s information, progress reports, teacher and parent interactions, and a playdate or shadow day.

Years 3-6

• Consistent with Lincoln Park, requiring application forms, statements, evaluations, and a shadow day.

Years 7-9 and 10-13

• Similar to Lincoln Park, these stages demand a more detailed evaluation including application forms, statements, academic transcripts, evaluations in English and math, administration reviews, shadow days, meetings with the students, and necessary standardized tests along with English proficiency assessments.
