Academic Success and Inspections
Brymore Academy consistently achieves high academic performance, with students often surpassing expected outcomes, especially in the Class 5 A*-C category. This outstanding performance places the academy among the top 3% of educational institutions in the country for achievement relative to target grades.
The academy’s commitment to academic excellence has been validated by Ofsted inspections, which rated Brymore Academy as “good” in all categories in 2015 and 2018. A boarding inspection in 2023 further confirmed this high standard.
Unique Connection with Nature
Brymore Academy boasts one of the largest school farms in the country, contributing to over 95% of students achieving grade C or above in GCSE Agriculture. The farm includes a dairy, beef herd, rare breed British Lop pigs, lambs, and chickens, serving as both an educational resource and a supplier of products to the local community through the academy’s farm shop and Blackmore Farm.
Heritage and Recognition
Brymore Academy is rich in tradition. The Old Brymorians Association dates back to the first cohort of students. The academy has hosted distinguished guests such as HRH Prince Charles and HRH Princess Anne, and has been featured in various national media, underscoring its respected status in the educational sector.
