Our sporting program stands unparalleled, boasting favorites such as rugby, soccer, hockey, cricket, swimming, and track events. Yet, the list doesn’t stop there – pupils can also immerse themselves in basketball, badminton, ping-pong, triathlon events, volleyball, road and mountain cycling, fitness regimens, archery, and boxing. These activities are accessible during school schedules, after school hours, and over weekends, ensuring every student gets the chance to partake, whether they are day attendees or boarders.

For those enchanted by the wilderness and personal tests, Brymore Academy extends activities like hill trekking, angling, and participation in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. The Young Farmers Club alongside hands-on engagements in farm and garden responsibilities foster a sense of duty, equipping students for future careers in agriculture or various other fields.

The workshop facilities encompass areas for woodworking, multimedia projects, metal crafting, and automated design. Students can immerse themselves in materials, design, and production, acquiring niche skills such as blacksmithing, copper work, welding, and engineering.

Farm and Gardens

A standout feature is the sprawling 32-hectare farm, one of the largest of its kind in the UK. Here, students engage with varied livestock and crops, garnering invaluable hands-on experience and insights into the commercial aspects of farming. Additionally, the one-acre walled garden, accredited with RHS Level 5 status, offers a picturesque, practical setting for students to delve into horticulture and sustainable practices.

Boarding Life Activities

For those boarding at the academy, there are over 200 activities and clubs, ensuring a wealth of options to keep everyone engaged. From the Lego club, archery, and taekwondo to bowling, cinema outings, wood carving, the RC car club, and cooking, these activities are sculpted to satisfy diverse interests and needs. They take place during lunch breaks, post-lessons, and on weekends, providing ample opportunities for all to participate.
