TRACES: Program at Cambridge Seminars College
The unique method of Seminars, called TRACES, equips students with everything necessary for serious research work.
English at CSC
The ACE module is an important part of TRACES. It focuses on progressive language skill development, especially for academic purposes. This module not only aims to improve language proficiency but also delves into the history and culture of the United Kingdom, preparing students for real-life conditions of living and studying in the country.
The ACE module ensures that CSC students will meet their target IELTS or Cambridge Suite scores, regardless of their current qualifications by any standards.
Study and Research Skills
The Study and Research Skills (SRS) module is designed to develop critical thinking – a skill essential for university education and beyond. It helps Cambridge Seminars College students understand how opinions and beliefs are formed and how to evaluate the strength of arguments using logical tools.
The module also provides assistance in effective learning, including proper citation to avoid plagiarism, using the Harvard referencing system, interpreting graphical data, and taking effective notes.
PSS Module at Cambridge Seminars College
The Personal and Social Skills (PSS) module aims to help students integrate into the UK higher education system. At Cambridge Seminars College, it covers a wide range of skills, including time management strategies, participation in the social and cultural life of the UK, developing and delivering presentations, and interview techniques.
Program Assessment
The assessment in the TRACES program includes two presentations (one joint and one individual) and two essays (one of which is timed). At the end of the course, students have an individual consultation with their tutor to identify strengths and areas for improvement, which determine the goals of their further studies at Cambridge Seminars College.
