The welcoming atmosphere at Dean Close School is notably significant, catering to the needs of both day and boarding students. Within this vibrant community, 55% of the scholars reside on campus—a testament to the school’s primary function as a place for boarding.

Accommodating Diverse Family Needs

Recognizing the variety among family necessities, Dean Close offers tailored support, ensuring a comfortable and inclusive environment. Family preferences are considered, enabling a seamless integration into the school’s system.

House Assignments and Leadership

Each scholar is allocated to a specific house, which becomes their central hub throughout their journey at the school. The provision of Housemasters or Housemistresses, backed by tutoring staff, ensures each house remains a close-knit family unit. Not only are these houses pivotal in fostering a sense of community, but they are also practical, offering spaces for personal storage and gathering for daily roll calls and assorted activities.

House Distribution and Boarding Options

Out of ten houses, four are dedicated to day students, positioned centrally within the senior school bounds. The remaining six are boarding houses, strategically placed around the campus, with full and flexi-boarding options, showcasing the institution’s dedication to an inclusive boarding culture.
