Accommodation at Embley School

The school offers two distinct accommodation formats. Full boarding means residing on campus throughout the week in a cozy, inviting setting that suits British pupils as well as those from overseas, featuring cultural events throughout weekend periods. Weekly boarding, meanwhile, works better for those with demanding schedules—it becomes especially popular during exams when structured support matters most. Anyone curious can arrange tours or trial periods to experience this setting directly.

Boarding Life

Pupils live in Manor House, a historic building from the 16th-17th centuries preserving its original architectural details and countryside atmosphere. Rooms are organized by age—senior students get singles—while mixed nationalities encourage cultural exchange and English practice. Comfortable common spaces, a kitchen for snacks, and facilities like a game room, library, and computer lab provide varied leisure options. Meals feature fresh local ingredients, with choices from full or continental breakfast to two-course lunches.

Boarding leadership provides educational and personal guidance, drawing on extensive global educational expertise for maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. Older students can take on prefect positions—responsibilities that include overseeing everyday routines and supporting new residents as they find their feet. Prefects also join the wider school prefect team and lead the Boarding Council.
