Student Care

Rather than comparing children to their peers, Embley focuses on what makes each one unique. The “home-school-student” partnership brings together tutors, house heads, and staff to create a support network that genuinely works. This collaboration extends to safeguarding teams, ensuring every child’s wellbeing. Regular meetings, workshops, and discussions help develop essential life skills, while PSHE lessons cover everything from online safety to relationships and anti-bullying strategies.

When students need medical attention for minor ailments or injuries, the on-site nurse at the health center provides immediate care—conveniently located within the senior school.

Wellbeing Center at Embley School

Through the portal, parents gain complimentary access to resources that help them understand their children’s social and emotional needs. The platform offers audio and video courses on parenting, with fresh content—including podcasts and articles—appearing weekly. Live Q&A sessions and expert-led webinars make the information both accessible and immediately relevant.

House System

Every newcomer joins one of four houses: Austin, Chichester, Nightingale, or Palmerston. Through events like the house festival and sports day, students build friendships and discover what teamwork really means, while showcasing their talents and commitment to their house.

Uniform is required across most year groups—except Sixth Form, where business attire takes over. Families can order everything online through Schoolblazer, which helps create a unified appearance and sense of discipline.

Infrastructure at Embley School

The 7,000-square-foot sports hall accommodates football, tennis, and more, while the full-sized artificial pitch serves hockey matches. Tennis and netball courts remain available year-round, alongside two cricket squares. During summer months, the facilities become available for short-term lettings that include both accommodation and services.

Transport

Embley’s extensive bus network covers Hampshire, the New Forest, and Wiltshire, with MIDAS-accredited drivers ensuring safe journeys. Buses arrive by 08:20 and depart at 17:00 on weekdays (15:45 on Fridays), with a flexible booking system that adapts to family schedules.
