Primary and Middle School Years
The Primary Years Programme guides children aged 3 to 10 through inquiry-based learning, developing critical thinking across six annual thematic units that reveal connections between knowledge domains. English provides the foundation for instruction, while Italian runs alongside as an additional focus.
Between 11 and 13, students progress into Middle Years Programme 1-3, where their 40 weekly lessons include 11 devoted to H-FARM’s distinctive integration of technology, visual arts, music, computer science, and graphic design. The remaining curriculum covers English, Italian, mathematics, natural sciences, physical education, social studies, and an additional foreign language.
Upper Middle School
For those aged 15-16, MYP 4-5 splits into 24 academic lessons and 16 sessions following H-FARM Academy methodology. The centerpiece becomes a personal project where each student independently investigates a chosen topic, then presents their findings—strengthening research abilities, critical thinking, and presentation skills along the way.
Beyond traditional subjects, learners engage with H-Labs workshops that immerse them in startup ventures, social skill development, unconventional problem-solving, and volunteer initiatives. They also select additional subjects based on personal interests:
- French, Spanish, German, or Chinese
- Visual arts
- Economics
- Design and technology
- Physics, computer science, biology, chemistry
IB DP at H-FARM International School
The two-year Diploma Programme prepares students aged 16-19 for university entrance worldwide. Its structure requires three core components—a 4,000-word extended essay, theory of knowledge course, and creativity-activity-service block—alongside six subjects distributed between three higher level (240 hours) and three standard level (150 hours) courses.
The curriculum spans languages and literature (English and Italian with various course options), additional languages (English, Italian, Spanish, German, French), and social sciences:
- Business management
- Economics
- Global politics
- History
- Philosophy
Sciences include:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Computer science
- Design technology
- Environmental systems and societies
- Physics
Mathematics appears in two pathways, with visual arts rounding out the offerings.
Career-Related Programme
This pathway combines three diploma subjects with intensive exploration of a chosen professional direction. Through partnerships with H-FARM College and the University of Chichester, students pursuing business and management complete courses in marketing and economics. Those drawn to creative fields work with Big Rock Institute, which specializes in digital visual arts and computer graphics, studying character design, modeling, and sculpture.
Four mandatory components enhance this structure: weekly sessions developing personal and professional capabilities, a 3,000-word research project, minimum 50 hours of foreign language study, and 50 hours of volunteer work. Graduates continuing at H-FARM College or Big Rock Institute receive automatic recognition for their exam results and credits earned during their school years.
