Spiritual Care
A Victorian Gothic chapel from 1904 welcomes everyone, regardless of faith. While services follow Anglican traditions, they’re designed to include the entire community. Father David Clues leads pastoral care here, actively supporting both current students and alumnae as they navigate school life and beyond.
Health
The Health Centre at Wyatt House brings together physiotherapy facilities, isolation rooms, and two-bed wards under one roof. Qualified nurses with expertise in conditions like asthma and diabetes offer daily consultations, while a doctor and counselor visit fortnightly. Students can also access dietician and psychotherapist services when needed.
Dining at Heathfield School
Meals unfold in a bright, spacious dining hall where students help themselves to dishes prepared from fresh, local ingredients. Five chefs working with Thomas Franks rotate menus every three weeks, balancing nutrition with variety. The kitchen accommodates special dietary requirements and prepares formal occasions like House Dinners and Sports Awards celebrations.
Mental Health Programs
Positive education shapes the approach to wellbeing here. Students in Forms I through III practice yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, while those in Form IV explore mental health awareness and active listening skills. Sixth Formers can pursue Young Health Champion qualification through RSPH, building on resilience programs and positive psychology strategies used throughout.
Support at Heathfield School
Form tutors, senior tutors, and boarding staff form a pastoral network that tracks both academic progress and co-curricular engagement. A counselor and independent listener visit twice weekly, complementing early intervention programs already in place. Housemistresses and the Health Centre complete this support structure, ensuring each student has what she needs to flourish.
