Educational Model

Kensington Park School welcomes students aged 11 to 18, building education around each child’s individual needs. The curriculum spans three stages of the British system:

  • Years 7-9 — foundational Key Stage 3
  • Years 10-11 — preparation for GCSE examinations
  • Years 12-13 — A Level qualification

While covering all traditional disciplines found in larger institutions, the program offers flexible subject selection that lets pupils shape their own learning path. Subject specialists here know how to spark curiosity and foster genuine love for knowledge.

Individual Approach

What sets this place apart is its exceptionally small classes. The senior school caps enrollment at 12 students maximum, while sixth form groups contain up to 10. Such intimate settings mean every child actively participates in discussions, asks questions, and stays fully engaged throughout lessons.

Yet these small numbers merely form the foundation for something deeper. A network of tutors, subject teachers, mentors, and course leaders surrounds each pupil with genuine support, while the pastoral care system interweaves seamlessly with academic progress through close communication with families.

Teaching Methodology at Kensington Park School

Lessons here blend rigorous knowledge with practical skill development through constant dialogue. Whether in classrooms, laboratories, art studios, or theaters, pupils continuously question, respond, and discuss. This active involvement creates a focused atmosphere where children don’t just absorb material but truly grasp each discipline.

The approach builds distinctive confidence in students’ thinking and ability to articulate ideas. Beyond academics, an extensive program of arts, drama, music, and sports enriches the experience while drawing on central London’s cultural offerings.

University Admission

The careers program begins in Year 12, when tutors start working individually with each student. They help select suitable courses and universities, plan extracurricular activities and work experience, then guide through the application process. The higher education team runs specialized workshops on UCAS and personal statements, while those aiming for Oxbridge or medicine receive interview preparation.

Graduates consistently secure places at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, St Andrews, LSE, UCL, along with American universities like Yale, Stanford, and the University of Chicago. Their chosen fields span from biomedicine and neuroscience to fashion business and European political studies.
