At King’s Ely School, the extracurricular program plays a pivotal role in our educational journey, offering a broad and varied spectrum of activities that extend well beyond the confines of the classroom. These opportunities allow us as students to cultivate our talents, explore new interests, and enrich our academic experiences. Many of us have had the honor of representing not just the school, but also counties, regions, and even the country in sports. The facilities here, including the Astroturf complex, sports hall, swimming pool, cricket nets, tennis courts, and expansive grass pitches, are first-rate, supporting our endeavors in rugby, football, hockey, netball, cricket, and tennis, among others. The river near our school is also recognized as one of the best stretches for rowing in the UK.

Performing Arts

The Drama and Theatre department is a cornerstone of King’s Ely, deeply integrated into school life and offering us a diverse range of productions, courses, and extracurricular events. The department challenges and engages us, helping to hone our performance and theatre skills through a wide array of shows, including musical theatre productions, contemporary and classical studio pieces, and participation in festivals like the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Outdoor Education
