Everyone participates according to their ability, whether competing at school level, nationally, or simply for recreation and enjoyment.

Sports Selection at Lancing College

Lancing College offers diverse sporting opportunities to match varied interests. Core activities include ball games (featuring traditional British sports) and tennis. The school also excels in squash, cross-country, basketball, swimming, equestrian, and Eton Fives. Beyond these, students can explore golf, fencing, rounders, regattas, rugby sevens, and aerobics, ensuring everyone discovers something they enjoy.

Equestrian Centre at Lancing College

The school’s equestrian centre, opened in spring 2017, sits just minutes from the main buildings. It welcomes both students and local community members, housing up to twenty horses. Riding integrates into the co-curricular programme, with the weekly timetable structured so students can pursue diverse interests alongside academics. Team members typically ride at least thrice weekly, with additional weekend sessions arranged through the Co-Curricular Assistant.
