Admission

Admission Policy

Loretto School welcomes children across all age groups—from Pre-School through to senior years—building a tailored pathway from the first inquiry. Entry points span early years, middle school, and Senior School, allowing families to join at a stage that suits them best. The admissions team crafts a personal journey: campus visits, leadership meetings, student-led tours, and a trial day for the child. For those living abroad, remote options include online testing and Teams consultations.

Admission Steps at Loretto School

The formal process unfolds in seven stages: registration with passport copy and school report, assessment in English, mathematics and reasoning, reference request from the current school, and finally an offer of placement. Families then submit their deposit, attend orientation sessions, and prepare for term to begin. The Head of Loretto School makes decisions by reviewing not just academic test results but also each child’s passion for music, drama, sport or golf—reflecting the school’s principle of “spartam nactus es, hanc exorna,” which seeks to unlock innate talents.

International Families

Loretto School educates students from 28 nationalities, creating a culturally diverse environment that prepares children for global opportunities. International candidates follow the same pathway, adapted for distance: online assessments and video introductions replace in-person visits. Applications require a passport copy, recent school report, and photograph, while families outside the UK pay a deposit equal to one full term rather than the standard £1,200. The ESL department supports individual language development and IELTS preparation, helping students reach fluency for academic subjects.

Fees and Formats

Loretto School maintains transparent fee structures for 2026: Pre-School costs £11,200 annually, Years 1–3 run £14,550 with care until 5pm, and Years 4–7 range from £21,975 to £23,034, including Saturday sessions, prep, and tea until 6:30pm.

Senior School offers four boarding formats: Day (£24,570–£33,822), flexible three-night boarding (£32,475–£41,727), weekly boarding (£37,000–£45,678), and full boarding (£40,380–£49,632).

Family discounts apply—5% for a second child, 20% for a third, 50% for a fourth—while children of military families with Continuity of Education Allowance receive up to 20% off boarding fees. The Golf Academy operates on separate tariffs, ranging from £662 to £5,250.
