Tuition Fees
Since January 2025, Rendcomb College charges include VAT, which has affected family bills. Termly rates start at £3,372 for junior day pupils and reach £18,630 for senior boarders. The variation depends on both age and format—for instance, day tuition in Years 7-8 costs £8,946 per term, while full boarding at the same level is £14,358. From Year 9 onwards, these figures climb to £10,896 and £17,604 respectively, though weekly boarding (Monday to Saturday) offers a more affordable alternative. GCSE, A Level, and BTEC examinations are billed separately.
Additional Accommodation Options
Beyond standard boarding, the college offers flexible arrangements for those who prefer gradual immersion. Ad hoc boarding suits day pupils wanting to stay overnight spontaneously—perhaps after a concert or birthday—at £60 per night for Years 7-9 and £75 for seniors, with the rate rising to £78 after the first eight nights each term. Flexi-boarding requires advance booking of set nights weekly—one, two, or three non-consecutive evenings—costing between £520 and £2,208 per term depending on age and frequency, though it’s unavailable to families living abroad.
Family Discounts at Rendcomb College
Families with multiple children enrolled receive 5% off for their second child and 15% for each subsequent one, which considerably eases the burden when three or four siblings attend simultaneously. There’s also a loyalty scheme: if a child joins the junior school by Year 4 and continues into senior school, the family gets 10% off annual bills through Year 11. For the youngest, the government’s 30 Hours Free Childcare covers part of nursery and reception costs, with bills issued post-term and refunds processed afterward.
Scholarship Programmes
Rendcomb College awards scholarships annually without quota, relying purely on candidate merit. Academic scholarships assess ability through written work and interviews, while those in art, drama, music, and sport demand portfolios or practical auditions—musicians perform two contrasting pieces, athletes demonstrate regional-level skills, and artists submit two years’ worth of work. The most prestigious are the Noel Wills (for Year 7 entry) and Centenary (for Year 12, awarded to three students who achieve at least 56 points across eight GCSE exams). All scholarships undergo annual review based on progress and conduct.
