Drama and Performing Arts: A Stage for Aspiring Talents

The Broadway Academy of Performing Arts is a cornerstone of the school’s dedication to the dramatic and musical arts. Starting from September 2022, the academy presents an enriched curriculum that spans dance and a Level 3 BTEC in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre). Structured to cater to varying ages and levels of experience, the academy divides its offerings into three tiers, providing twice-weekly classes in acting, dance, and musical theatre, with extra sessions on Saturdays. This comprehensive approach culminates in large-scale bi-annual productions, allowing students the chance to shine in classics like “Les Misérables” and “West Side Story.” Beyond performance skills, the academy readies students for LAMDA exams and ABRSM ‘Singing for Musical Theatre’ examinations, covering dance styles from ballet to street dance.

The Performing Arts Studio complements this with a professional theatre environment, complete with a control room for those interested in the technical and stage management facets of theater. LAMDA classes further enrich students’ skills, ranging from acting to public speaking, vital for life beyond the stage.

Art and Design: A Canvas for Innovation

Rossall’s Art & Design department embraces a broad spectrum of disciplines, from Fine Art and Photography to Fashion and Product Design. Encouraging competition participation and school trips, the department not only bolsters students’ portfolios but also frequently celebrates success in both local and national arenas. The support here allows students to experiment with diverse materials and techniques, fostering an environment where creativity thrives unrestricted.

Parallelly, the focus extends to modern design disciplines, with the Design department exploring product design and architecture among others.
