Coastal Campus

Saint Felix School occupies 75 acres along Suffolk’s scenic coastline, where students walk minutes to reach Southwold—a seaside town celebrated for its sandy beaches and historic lighthouse. While bus routes, railway stations, and nearby airports connect families from across regions, the location offers more than convenience. Southwold’s independent boutiques, cafes, and arthouse cinema complement theatrical productions and music festivals, while nature reserves like RSPB Minsmere and historic sites such as Sutton Hoo lie within a half-hour drive.

Sports Complex

Athletic facilities at Saint Felix School include a 25-meter pool, equipped fitness center, and studio space alongside tennis courts and expansive fields where students practice football, rugby, and cricket. A large sports hall hosts team games and group training sessions. Beyond serving the school community, these facilities open to local residents during evenings and weekends, integrating the complex into the region’s broader athletic culture.

Theaters and Stages at Saint Felix School

The Silcox Theatre, named for former headmistress Lucy Mary Silcox, seats 150 with professional lighting and sound equipment for performances, screenings, and conferences. A 200-seat chapel provides exceptional acoustics and an organ for concerts, services, and music examinations. Daily rehearsals take place in a naturally lit studio that also accommodates martial arts. External groups rent these spaces during evenings, weekends, and school holidays.

Accommodation

Three boarding houses—Fawcett, Gardiner, and Somerville—accommodate up to 150 people in single, double, and shared rooms, each equipped with private bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and offices. While Gardiner and Somerville connect as unified space or separate into autonomous sections, Fawcett stands independently. Surrounded by fields, woodlands, and tennis courts near Southwold, these residences host summer and Easter programs when Saint Felix School welcomes educational organizations during holiday periods.
