International Exchange Programs

SEK El Castillo International School Madrid offers students immersive educational experiences in Dublin and the French Alps. In Dublin, secondary students through IB Diploma study the International Baccalaureate curriculum entirely in English while living with host families or in residence. They participate in cultural and sports activities alongside peers from various countries. The Alpine program, meanwhile, operates in six-week modules exclusively for SEK network students from sixth grade through secondary four.

Duke of Edinburgh Award at El Castillo Madrid

Since 2015, students at SEK El Castillo International School Madrid have pursued the Duke of Edinburgh Award—a globally recognized program that develops leadership, confidence, and decision-making abilities. Over a million young people worldwide have completed its four pillars: volunteering, physical activity, skill development, and expeditions. Model UN and Winter Trips

SEK schools host SEKMUN, where students simulate UN General Assembly proceedings and debate pressing global issues from disarmament to climate change. This UN-authorized educational project sharpens diplomatic and analytical skills. Each winter, White Week takes participants to Spain’s premier ski resorts and alpine Megève, combining skiing with cultural exploration and meaningful time spent with friends in mountain settings.

Stellar supports gifted students from preschool through secondary years in developing their abilities, while TALNET enhances thinking strategies and emotional intelligence for older students online. The ADA course introduces diploma candidates to university research fields, and DACIU enables gifted university students to pursue advanced investigations that further develop their talents.
