Sports Academy

The SEK Education Group started Spain’s first private programs for elite young athletes, earning National Awards in 1988 and 2010, along with recognition from the Spanish Olympic Committee. At El Castillo, students can join the academy from age 10, pursuing swimming, tennis, golf, equestrian sports, and winter sports through a program that integrates rigorous training with academic studies up to the baccalaureate level.

Campus Infrastructure

A 1,000 m² multisport zone houses tennis and padel courts plus three basketball courts and a mini-soccer field, while a 200 m² sand volleyball area and 7×7 soccer pitch complement the outdoor facilities. The indoor complex features a 25-meter heated pool powered by solar energy, plus four multipurpose halls accommodating taekwondo, dance, skating, and theater. Additional spaces help with handball and track activities.

UCJC Complex

Through its partnership with Camilo José Cela University, the campus extends access to a sports center spanning over 140,000 m². This facility encompasses 11 tennis courts and 5 padel courts, a competition-grade heated pool, fitness studios with cycling equipment, and an exercise physiology lab. Equestrian athletes benefit from competition and training arenas, while the multisport pavilion provides certified surfaces for handball, basketball, volleyball, and badminton.

Athlete Support at El Castillo International School

El Castillo helps athletes through flexible scheduling that allows students to balance training and academics without compromising performance. Coaches develop personalized programs addressing each athlete’s technical and tactical needs, while comprehensive medical and psychological services—including nutritionists, physiotherapists, and sports psychologists—help them maintain peak condition and navigate competitive pressures throughout their development.
